Migrating from EasyWorship
If you've been using EasyWorship and want to switch to WayPresenter, you don't have to start your song library from scratch. WayPresenter includes a dedicated import tool that brings over your songs, lyrics, and metadata.
Before You Begin
- Make sure you know where your EasyWorship database is stored
- Back up your EasyWorship data as a precaution
- Have WayPresenter installed and open
The default EasyWorship database location varies by version, but it's typically in your Documents folder or the EasyWorship application data directory.
Step-by-Step Import
- In WayPresenter, go to File > Import > EasyWorship
- Click Browse and locate your EasyWorship database file
- WayPresenter will scan the database and show a preview of found songs
- Review the list — you can select all or choose specific songs
- Click Import Selected to begin the transfer
The import process typically takes under a minute, even for large libraries with hundreds of songs.
What Gets Imported
WayPresenter transfers the following data from EasyWorship:
- Song titles and authors
- Complete lyrics with verse/chorus structure
- Copyright information
- CCLI numbers (if available)
- Song categories/tags
After Import
Once your songs are imported, take a few minutes to:
- Spot-check a handful of songs to verify lyrics are correct
- Review section formatting (Verse, Chorus, Bridge labels)
- Add any missing tags or categories
- Remove any duplicates if you imported from multiple sources
Troubleshooting
If the import doesn't find your database, try these steps:
- Make sure EasyWorship isn't running during import
- Check that you're selecting the correct database file (not a backup)
- Try running WayPresenter as administrator (Windows)
- If problems persist, export songs from EasyWorship as text files and use WayPresenter's text import instead
