Data Storage

WayPresenter stores all data locally on your computer. Understanding where data is stored helps with backups and migrations.

Default Paths

What's Stored

• Database: Songs, scriptures, service plans, settings
• Media: Imported images, videos, and backgrounds
• Themes: Custom theme files
• Cache: AI model files, temporary data

Backing Up Data

Automatic Backups

1. Go to Settings > Data & Storage
2. Enable Auto-backup
3. Set frequency: Daily, Weekly, or Monthly
4. Choose backup location (local folder, USB drive, or cloud sync folder)

Manual Backup

1. Go to File > Backup
2. Choose what to include (database, media, themes, settings)
3. Select destination
4. Click Create Backup

The backup creates a .wpbackup file that includes everything you selected.

Restoring Data

1. Go to File > Restore from Backup
2. Select your .wpbackup file
3. Choose what to restore
4. Click Restore

Important: Restoring replaces existing data. Create a backup of your current data first.

Migrating to a New Computer

1. Create a full backup on your old computer
2. Install WayPresenter on the new computer
3. Copy the backup file to the new computer
4. Restore from backup on the new computer
5. Verify all content, settings, and themes are intact

Clearing Data

To reset WayPresenter to factory settings:

1. Go to Settings > Data & Storage > Reset
2. Choose what to clear: Cache only, or Full reset
3. Confirm the action

Warning: Full reset permanently deletes all songs, settings, and custom content.
